Description
Sea buckthorn berry oil is an easy, vegan friendly way to consume sea buckthorn. Simply add a few drops to your favourite recipes or home made skin products. It is particularly rich in beta-carotene and omega-7 fatty acids. It’s extracted from the fleshy pulp of the fruit and is dark red/orange in colour. To retain sea buckthorn’s exceptional nutritional properties, Erbology use the centrifugal extraction method for this product, one of the most gentle extraction processes.
We love sea buckthorn berry oil for its skin rejuvenating and healing properties. Sea buckthorn can help fight free radical damage and support skin elasticity and collagen production. With regular use, skin can appear smoother, radiant and more lifted. Omega-7 fatty acids work to support a healthy digestive tract, mucous membranes and can help relieve symptoms of dry eyes.
Why Use Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil?
- Suitable for vegans
- Versatile – add to smoothies and recipes or apply to home made moisturisers.

Carotenoids (used to make Vit A) and Vit E are both key nutrients for skin health (they have an antioxidant function and help hydration)

CHOLESTEROL levels
Plant Sterols
Plant sterols promote ‘good’ also known as HCL, Cholesterol.
Eating foods containing plant sterols can help to maintain good cholesterol levels or, reduce the levels of statins required in those with higher cholesterol.
Most balanced diets provide 100 – 400 mg sterols each day. 1 tsp SB berry oil provides about 100mg. We need 10 x this to start getting a cholesterol-lowering effect but including SB oil with other plant sterol foods like cold-pressed rapeseed oil, legumes, nuts and seeds, can provide a valuable source of these sterols.
