Sea buckthorn and apple sauce

Ingredients:

  • 50g sea buckthorn berries
  • 2 apples
  • 2 tsp water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Method

  1. Juice the sea buckthorn berries by passing through a blender, then pass through a sieve to remove seeds and skin.
  2. chop the apples finely
  3. Put the apples, water and sugar in a pan over a moderate heat
  4. Heat mixture until apples are falling apart but leave some chunks.
  5. Add the sea buckthorn juice
  6. Add a pinch of salt.
  7. Season further to taste.
